About Our Agency

In 1974, J.B. Walker began his Nationwide agency in Dublin, Georgia with a commitment to provide quality insurance coverage to families and individuals in the interest of protecting their homes, loved ones, financial assets and businesses. His son, James "Barry" Walker, joined him in 1985. Barry, later, took over the agency, when J.B. retired in 1995. The Barry Walker Agency is still family owned and operated today. Barry's wife, mother, and son, are all active in the agency, along with a well established group of licensed agents committed and ready to serve our community with friendly and personal customer service.

In 2010, we acquired an existing Nationwide agency in Milledgeville, Georgia, located at 2601 N. Columbia St, Suite D. Since then, with the commitment and dedication of our Milledgeville team, our agency has expanded farther into the Middle Georgia area. Most recently, we continue to grow and offer knowledgeable, friendly and personalized insurance services to the Warner Robins, Georgia area, in our new branch office, located at 1437 Watson Blvd.

Nationwide Insurance Company has recognized our agency as one of the top agencies in the country with the coveted President's Conference Award. This award is given to the top 1% of the 15,000 Nationwide agents. We were ranked 13th overall and 7th for the Nationwide Agribusiness line.

While we take pride in all of our awards, and accomplishments, we take the most pride in putting our customers needs as the #1 reason of our agency's success. We know that protecting your loved ones and their well being is the reason we are still in business, today.
